Especially during the years that General Washington was away from Mount Vernon, he required that his farm managers send him weekly reports of work done on the five farms of his plantation. These reports are presented here. This collection also contains the distillery and fishery ledger, and several individual reports on, for example, spinning, carpentry, or the garden. Furthermore there are other reports and drafts of reports from 1760-1764 and 1786-1787, all detailing the kinds and amount of work done from week to week at Mount Vernon.
